Code Next is currently open to any high schooler in Oakland, CA or New York City, NY interested in building their tech knowledge and skills!
While COVID-19 has caused us to transition to virtual learning, Code Next continues to be a free, computer science education program that meets Black and Latinx high school students in their own communities and provides the skills and inspiration they need for long and rewarding careers in tech and computer science-related fields.
Students will continue to get a chance to:
Engage in both exposure-based and immersion-based courses, from Clubs (focused on computer science, engineering, or leadership) to Launch (focused on product development, entrepreneurship, and branding)!
Meet Googlers and engage in 1:1 mentorship!
Create and design their own apps and websites!
Our ask to you:
If you know students/families who are interested or eligible for the program, please share the application. Feel free to share more broadly with other applicable networks as well! Applications for fall term close on August 12, 2020.
If you would like to be kept updated on your referrals status in the application process, please share their info here.
Please share the flyer (attached) to your networks and any high schoolers interested in Code Next!
Thank you,
The Code Next Team
