Pathfinders Spring 2020 Requirements
WHO CAN APPLY?
High school students currently enrolled in a computer science class (SEP, AP Computer Science Principles, Get Ready to Teach Intro to CS (Python)) with at least a B average who are interested in exploring CS as a career. Students do not need to have CS skills to apply. Female, Black and Latinx students are strongly encouraged to apply.
STUDENT BENEFITS Students who complete the Pathfinders Internship Program receive:
60 hours of on-the-job CS / Tech experience
A generous stipend through CS4All
Career prep such as: practicing interviewing skills and resume review

SCHOOL COORDINATOR Schools wishing to participate in Pathfinders must provide a coordinator responsible for:
Submitting required items for each applicant by December 31 (see table below)
Coordinating student interviews (ensure that students schedule their interview with Grant Associates)
ROUND 1: APPLICATION The application period is October 25 - December 3. Applications received after December 31 will not be considered.

ROUND 2: STUDENT INTERVIEWS Interviews will take place after January 1st, 2019 by Grant Associates. Note that an application does not guarantee an interview. Applicants selected to proceed to the second round will be notified on or prior to March 1st.
WORK REQUIREMENTS Students are expected to work 60 hours beginning March 30th and ending May 31st. Students must be at least 14 years old. Students who are 14 and 15 years old can work a maximum of 3 hours a day on school days and students who are 16 and 17 years old can work a maximum of 4 hours a day on school days. Students are also expected to attend one career readiness workshop prior to the start of their internship and one office hours workshop during. These will most likely take place on Saturdays.
IMPORTANT PROGRAM UPDATES In the Spring 2020 Pathfinders Cycle, Grant Associates will implement the internship opportunities; this includes managing aspects such as interviews, internship placements, and host / onsite check-ins. CS4All will manage recruitment, determine what students are invited to interview and career readiness workshops.
