  • Action Visual Art Program: www.artsinactionvap.org Parent Anecdotal: The teacher, Angela Tripi-Weiss, had been a beloved art teacher at PS 187 on the Upper West Side, and currently teaches in a studio at the back of the "Little Shop of Crafts" on Amsterdam at W. 94th St. Though not an artist myself, I was so impressed by how much the kids were learning and the variety and quality of the work they were doing. Angela offers classes for ages 7-12, Studio Art & Portfolio Development for teens 11-18, and Portfolio Prep for 8th graders.

  • Bridgeview Program: Salk Parent Review “This is the art school that a friend of mine told me about. Her son had taken classes there for many years before he was admitted to Art & Design HS.”http://www.academicart.com/programs-for-kids/
