Students who want to participate in STEM Matters NYC Career Day need to register by Friday, October 19!
Are you an NYC public high school student interested in careers in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM)?
Know a current City public high school student who wants to learn more about the industries and employment opportunities that depend on STEM?
On Tuesday, November 6, 2018, the NYC Department of Education is hosting its 7th Annual STEM Matters NYC Career Day.
Open to all City public high school students, STEM Matters NYC Career Day provides registered students with the opportunity to explore exciting STEM career options and learn more about what’s needed to succeed in those career paths. As part of the day’s activities, participating students will be able to visit up to two NYC-based companies for an inside look at their offices.
Apple, bitly, Flywheel, Google, and JetBlue are among some of the companies participating in this year’s event.
To participate in STEM Matters NYC Career Day, all interested students must register for the event by Friday, October 19. Students must register individually, and every student is expected to travel on their own when visiting their designated companies. All participants will receive a free t-shirt and a round trip MetroCard.
For more information, visit the STEM Matters NYC Career Day registration page or email STEMCareerDay@schools.nyc.gov.
Remember; registration ends on Friday, October 19, so you are a City high school student, don’t miss this unique opportunity; register TODAY!
